Got the chance to attend one of Sara Tafoya’s awesome shooting workshops! We went out to the Sedalia State Fair for this shoot. Sara brought some gorgeous models and it was so fun to learn and shoot all different types of shots and angles and lighting. Here is a little bit of what we did! Thanks to Erica Stone and Jared Dey and the other models. {Gorgeous couple, seriously stunning!}
Ashley and Travis {e-session}
These two are meant to be together. So laid back and down to earth. It was a gorgeous evening and the weather was fantastic. We went two directions with this shoots. Pretty flowers at the Kauffman Legacy Park, then we headed down to the West Bottoms for some edgy pictures. Can’t wait for you wedding! Enjoy!
Wedding Wednesday {My Wedding}
This Wednesday I am going to blog about MY WEDDING! Because it’s going to be here in 17 days! I am running around like a crazy person and the to do lists never seem to end. We are in the home stretch and I can’t not wait for it to be here! My fiance Zach and I have been engaged since February of last year and it has been a long planning process and I think we are both ready for the day! All this planning is stressful so I am going to leave with you with a few sneak peeks of little details. Also I am saying goodbye to blog posting and anything business related in these last couple weeks. I think I deserve to focus on me and my fiance these last couple weeks. {Since he hasn’t really seen me other than peaking out of piles of invitations or dates with vendors} Enjoy and see you all after the Honeymoon!
Introducing {Hudson Landry}
This poor little guy was just not having it during our shoot. He was not happy with us moving him around so much. He finally gave up and let us get some shots. Congratulations Kalyn and Derek. He is beautiful
Park Ridge Clubhouse {Lee’s Summit}
Got the opportunity to second shoot a small and quaint reception with the lovely Leslie O’Hara. These two were bronzed and beautiful after getting back from St. John’s where they got married. Enjoy!
Spoiled {Pup}
Yesterday was Canon’s 1st Birthday. She got to take a stroll on the plaza, stop at the Dog Barkery for some treats and finish they day off at the dog park. She was one happy camper. She is not spoiled or anything . . .
Welcome
Welcome to Pond Photography. I have been working long and hard to get this ready to fully launch. It’s been a long journey with stress and anxiety and excitement and I am proud to say its finally here. I have truly understood what it means to create a brand. I don’t want to just start a photography business, I want to create a brand and that brand is Pond Photography. I have worked closely with the wonderful Manda Koolis with Mandolin Productions on creating a new logo, marketing pieces and and overall brand. She is great and has done such a good job and I am so thankful for her. There are a few other people I must mention that have helped me get to this point. Number one important person is Kami Van Slyke with Orange Peel Photography. I met Kami while shooting a wedding as a second shooter. She has sat with me through countless mentoring sessions and I am so thankful for her and her knowledge. Another wedding guru that helped me out is Ashley Hotka from Good Earth Floral Design. She was so generous to donate flowers for bridal shoots to help build my portfolio. My fabulous fiance has also been supporting me all the way and he means the world to me. So look around, get inspired and while your at it tell your friends! Tina Kraemer with Pure in Art Photography answers questions for me daily when trying to figure out everything from lighting help to how to file my taxes. Big thanks to all the girls in Clickin Chicks too that I have learned so much from!
Make sure you suscribe because tons of great things are coming up that you don’t want to miss!
